She studied art in Barcelona. Her very personal vision on material, colour, gesture and space in the field of expressionism was however developed in the tropical areas of South America.
The decade between 1980 and 1990 spent in Columbia and Peru were decisive years in her development. Later on, her fascination for the Zen philosophy led to the insertion of calligraphic elements into her art. Laura Iniesta´s oeuvre shows abstraction in a highly aesthetic manner, a combination of feelings, passion and logical reasoning.
